Thai VIII trained for their Peace Corps service at the University of Hawaii, Hilo. The volunteers of Group VIII arrived in Thailand in 1964 and served from 1964 to 1966. Thai VIII consisted of 49 volunteers who served in the TEFL, Health, Vocational Education and Malaria Eradication program areas.
