Thai 53 trained for their Peace Corps service in Chachoengsao and Ayuthaya. The volunteers of Group 53 arrived in Thailand in 1975 and served from 1975 to 1977. Thai 53 consisted of 19 volunteers who served in the Teacher Training College and Higher Education program areas.
